The many and varied

rivers of North Wales offer spectacular scenery and tranquillity. Here you can catch wild brown trout, grayling, salmon and sea trout in surroundings of great beauty. And with so much else to see and do in the area, this is an ideal venue for combining fishing with a family holiday.

Brown trout
The Dee is the largest of the North Wales rivers. It flows via Llyn Tegid (Bala Lake) and on through Llandderfcl, Corwen and Llangollen before turning northwards across the Cheshire Plains to a long estuary downstream of Chester. This great Welsh river
holds good stocks of brown trout, too; on most stretches they average
around ten ounces, but bigger trout may give you the occasional surprise

The dee grayling

Apart from their abundance, what is most impressive about the grayling of the River Dee is their willingness to rise to the fly from dawn to dusk. On a good day your skills will be tested as long as you can spare!.
